Dr. Rachel Ochse is a Post-Doctoral Staff Therapist, she received her Doctorate of Psychology and Master’s of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from State University of New York, Purchase College.
In clinical practice Dr. Ochse provides individual therapy to adults and adolescents.
Dr. Ochse has experience working in academic and community mental health settings while maintaining a consistent focus on social justice and diversity. Her training has allowed her to develop specializations in working with trauma, family of origin issues, substance use disorders, dual diagnosis, and identity development, as well as work with LGBTQ+ and consensual non-monogamy clients. Dr. Ochse has a dynamic relational approach to therapy, working within a multicultural framework, but is flexible in her approach to tailor the treatment to the needs of each client.
In addition to providing traditional talk therapy, Dr. Ochse is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) by an EMDRIA approved training program.
